Scrap metal monitoring with wireless data transfer.

grabSPEC is an automatic radiation detection system for cranes and similar scrap handling systems equipped with grabs. The resistant and robust grabSPEC can be mounted directly into the grab of a crane. This results in minimum distance between scrap and detector and therefore best detection sensitivity.
grabSPEC consists of 4 components:
The user interface in the crane cabin, the wireless, radio controlled, shock resistant NaI detector in a ruggedized housing, a ruggedized, but easy accessible battery case and battery charger including a 2nd battery to be charged in the cabin.
